Bloody hell I forgot about the opening hours. That seems absolutely bonkers now. I discovered the BBC 606 because of one of your posts DJ. I was reading a BBC match report about a fiery City v Charlton game when Ashbee was sent off, and they'd embedded your post defending Ashbee into the article with a "Get Involved" button or something. Over 17 years ago...
ha , glad you remember that as i was often alone in defending him back then and spent most my days defending him on the board ( also when at work ) , but now everybody claims they always rated him....much like the lowest ever gate at Boothferry park that everybody attended
I agree but also think the opening hours were a good thing Its like everything else With on demand streaming 24 7 Sometimes i think having 24 7 access to stuff is for the worse Goes from being deliciousness to **** fastfood content
Because it was the BBC, it was very heavily moderated, so it only allowed people to post during the day when it was being monitored. It's coming up to 14 years since it closed and we started posting on here.
That's funny, just yesterday I was talking to a friend about how I used to listen to Lamacq Live and essentially be drip-fed new music. Then would come the record store hunt to find the ones I liked. It was far more exciting than having immediate access to everything.
Just had a look at some comments from Donny Rovers fans on Fleming's recall, most of them offering to give him a lift, there isn't a single positive comment (many hoping he'll be playing against them on Sunday).
I think he started while James Maxwell was injured, has then been mainly a sub, sometimes not involved at all. I don't expect anyone above league 2 to be in for him. Maybe even someone like York City or Oldham who are pushing to win the National League.
York city would be good Dan battys there And would like them back in the football league But thatd mean us paying like 99.9% of his wages
I was wondering what had happened to him after the massive fanfare around us stealing football's next Wunderkind from Southend. Football, eh? Bloody 'ell.
And Billy Chadwick. He is like the Will Jarvis of his time, loads clamouring for him to start for us when in reality he was nowhere near good enough.
