Yep it’s his I looked last night before I went to bed and there were no flights scheduled from Rome so it’s a newly scheduled flight
Why does this bloody club always get my hopes up! Although this time I really do believe it’s different.
Mental if it’s not his then some random bloke is flying in from Rome conviently after we agree a transfer for him
It could mean that we are paying a loan fee which covers his wages. If he signs this fee will be deducted from the transfer fee.. Who knows. I'm not that concerned to be honest, the club seems to be more financially astute these days so I'll leave it to them
Hopefully Seelt is back soon. He can cover CB and RB at a push. O’Nien comfortable enough at RB I feel
What's interesting is that whatever salary he's on now, we've agreed a salary with him for if / when he does join. The fact the purchase becomes complusory if we get promoted means that all personal terms need to be agreed as well.
Question for those involved in the game. When a deal is agreed, do the clubs and player sign off on the deal, subject to a medical assessment. I.e only way it falls through is if a defined issue is found. Or, does the deal remain legally open until the last minute, allowing for other parties to make a late move. Assume the former, as lots of travel , legal costs involved etc, but interested to know the norm. Cheers
One of the salary websites listed him on £65k, which I imagine we're paying half of now and we'll probably have to reimburse Roma the other half (6 months) if the deal goes through. I still find it hard to believe this is going to happen, I'll really believe it when I see it.
pretty sure its the latter but I don't work in the game. But in any walk of life, nothing's signed until its signed. Even if we signed a "statement of intent", its only that, an intent. And intents can change.
Rated him. Club absolutely shat itself on that one. Outrageous and shoddy behaviour. Assume it was Byrne the incompetent in charge for that one.
Sounds so risky in football doesn't it. Especially as you don't benefit from confidentiality. Details of deals are often leaked, as a club you'd think an element of protection would be build into the agreement. Cheers for reply, Interesting
Yeah its all done at risk as far as I know. I'm sure theres examples on deadline day where clubs have flown players over and then they've gone and had medicals somewhere else
