I think he would rather go to a club already in the Premier League. He might even get Wednesday into the playoffs and promoted. I’ve seen nothing from SR to make me think they and we are getting better. We were able to get people in after selling most of our crown jewels. I don’t believe we have that many jewels left to sell any more.
Enzo Le Fee looks like he is heading to Sunderland. Roma paid £20m for him this summer just gone and looked a big talent coming from Ligue 1, not sure how much Juric was involved in the transfer as he was the manager at the time, or how much he will have a say in any transfers this window due to the situation at the club/with him only being here 6 months but could be someone we look at. Sunderland probably more appealing for Roma/him if it’s a loan deal with a potential permanent move anyway
Loan, ****ing loan. And we bought him for £6m, which some thought was a no lose situation. Together with his wages, I dread to think & now we can’t get that turd off our shoe. Jeez, we deserve everything we get. SR, everything you touch just turns to gold. Right, I’m off to read about TallPail now.
I get his Championship goalscoring history but I just can’t see it. He’s a useless footballer, as we’ve seen so often this year & next season he’ll be that much older. I think he’ll be another AA in reverse.
Wow, I didn’t know that. **** me I'm genuinely shocked. He’s that bad & so young. Still can’t see it tho.
It’s the Saints curse. Everyone’s career nosedives when they join Saints. Except Lavia of course. Always one player who won’t conform!
They decided to break the transfer window by not buying anyone to fix the team - genius, no one else has ever thought of that...
Solid work. Sports Republic - the transfer trendsetters. Wonder if we can break last times record and have 4 managers in one season?
Slow start, but not really a surprise. It’s not window dependent, but it would be great for us to get contract extensions for Dibling and Sam Amo and get Sam Amo on loan to a championship or league one team in preparation for next season.
To be fair I think our owners need a kick up the backside. They think they can do everything on the cheap.Buying players in the low millions just does not work. Yes you will get the odd one that will turn it on but in the main the quality just isn't there.
I think it's a PSR thing as well, though I agree, we'd have done better to get two REALLY good/expensive players in the summer than five players who don't cut it.
In theory yes, but just because you spend more money on the player doesn't mean they are more likely to work out, just the upside is bigger if they do. Our track record of more expensive (for us) players is pretty shocking. We could easily end up with another couple of Sulemanas on our hands. Risk you've got to take I guess but not sure I'd trust our current recruitment team with that risk. I suppose at least in theory cheaper players won't put us as far up **** creak with PSR when they don't work out because we wouldn't lose as much on them as we will lose on the likes of Sulemana, Tall Paul etc.
