Isidor and Mepham are surely just formalities aren't they? We have an option to buy on Isidor at a bargain price and he loves it here. Mepham I believe is out of contract in the summer so that should just be a case of giving him an acceptable contract in the summer. I'd take Clarke back too, though I don't think it's on the cards. He's an upgrade on Mundle still and adding those goals to this team would make us promotion favourites (along with Le Fee).
I think Bournemouth have a club option of a yr so I won't be surprised if they activated so they got some money for him I wouldn't be against Clarke rejoining but all depends on Mundle and Watsons injuries. If they are back soon then we will have 3 wingers for the same position, then only 1 starting calibre RM
We can only have 5 loans in a matchday squad (I think) and like you I don't want a load of loans, but Isisdor and Le Fee have pre agreed deals in place, so I don't really count them. Just think it would give us even more attacking threat and more options for a huge run in
Does this mean Roma are paying his wages in full? Or have I read it wrong, if they are then this is an even more ridiculous deal than I imagined
I suppose Watson can play off the right but it’s far from ideal, he really struggled out there down at Preston in the league
Yeah I don't like him there, he can def do a job there but he's so much better on the LM He has a huge part to play the rest of this season
I reckon loan striker then a Harvey vale type on a perm and that’ll be us done on incomings unless we bring in a couple for the future too
Could Mundle do a job on the right? I don't love the balance at all, don't get me wrong, but Clarke is as close to a guaranteed success here as we could get. I don't mind if Watson has to wait a little longer for his chance if it's promotion on 5 months.
Be interesting to see how goes out either on loan or permanent as well. Maybe some of the young lads that have been in and around bench will go on loan? Jones, Johnson etc
I guess Roma are looking at it as probably getting all of their money back on a "flop" in the summer which is a win for them too.
Imo, no I don't think he can - his natural game is cutting in on his stronger foot and that's his biggest strength Yes he has the pace but so does Clarke and I don't think he would be good on the right either We shouldn't shoehorn players into positions imo, it should be playing players in their natural positions - it's what will give us the success
I don't have any doubts that he will tbh, he will be a PL regular in the future and even a potential England international I can't see the other 2 getting senior caps
