His distribution is leagues above Vicario’s, that’s evident already.

I said earlier too but if his shot stopping can be as good - even slightly less - then he should retain the spot upon Vicario’s return because he’s a keeper in the style that Ange needs to play it out from the back. I reckon he’s got about 4-5 games before Vicario is back, it may be a small sample to tell from but we’ll be able to get an idea what he’s like at facing various types of shots.

Oh without a doubt. I like Vic but never fully convinced he can play Ange ball.

On that score quiet a spiky Sky interview afterwards from the big man I thought. He's not happy is he with a lot of the comment's coming his way!

The big challenge will be the buffeting he will undoubtedly get at corners etc. 'Pool didn't do that at all tonight - although I do wonder whether a GK exuding confidence generally tends to deter the opposition having petty snipes in those situations.

I think Ange will to be fair.

There should be starts for Lankshear and Moore. Yang to ideally get some game time too.

Dorrington at the back possibly even debuts for Olusesi and Hall as well at some point.

Unfortunately though it is likely going to lead to a Werner start… just wanna warn everyone!
Capt Timo? <yikes>

I like Vicario too, gets way too much stick. But agree his distribution isn’t great, albeit his shot stopping is. If Kinsky matches or gets near the latter, he’s the better choice for number one.

I don’t watch any of the post match stuff so can’t say. It’s usually robotic and repetitive nonsense lol.

Sounds like Vicario won't be back until late Feb/early March at the earliest, in which case Kinsky's got around a dozen games to impress.

I said a few times before I wanted the club to sign a keeper to compete and possibly replace Vicario as number 1. Never been a fan of signing players as back up so although early days, the Kinsky signing is definitely promising for many reasons.

Bloody hell what a game to squeeze through on. Anfield not a happy hunting ground but maybe we’ll have Romero and/or VdV back…thought Spence, Solanke and Bergvall were excellent. And the young keeper..just wow. Between him, Gray, Bergvall, and Moore we have quite a clutch of players on our hands.

First time in a long time that I have been able to watch a match that wasn't at stupid o' clock (oz time!).
Am I wrong or did we set up slightly different to other games. The discipline and concentration by all on the pitch was immense.
Archie and Lucas were brilliant they seemed to drag everyone along , in a good way. Kinsky was very assured on his debut.
Nice to see them give Pool a bit back.

Yeah, it did look like they eased off a little on the high line and inverted FBs bollocks and consequently, didn’t leave too much space for their wingers to use.

Yes but let’s hope he continues to be flexible when our regular defenders play.
That's the conundrum isn't it, is the alteration due to the opponent or the players available or both?
Without doubt we wouldn't have played that way if we had a full strength backline. I can see Spence and Gray rapidly gaining their confidence so Ange tweaks it a bit.
