your reservations are very valid and from the right place. I share them to an extent. But we needed another centre midfielder. Should we intentionally sign a worse centre midfielder to allow Rigg and Jobe more minutes? Or sign the best we can get? That’s the (lovely) dilemma that faced the club. And it’s blown me away the level of ambition we’ve shown.
One other positive that I’m sure none of us want to think about, is that IF (big if) we do sell Jobe or Rigg this window, the blow is immediately softened. Im not saying I think we will or even that it’s the intention. It just will make that process a lot less traumatic!!
Genuinely think there’s a chance, even if we don’t go up that we sell Jobe for £30m then immediately use that money to trigger the ELF deal and have money plus a sell on left over.
Think I'm just gonna lose my head over this signing for a few hours then go to bed to think about it some more.
Hahaha you, me (and probably 80% us) mate, seeing fans from clubs all over the place blown away by it though so he’s either going to be a superstar or break his leg getting off the plane
What’s properly mental about having to find a way to pick three from Le Fee, Rigg, Jobe and Neil is that Salis Abdul Samed was a regular in the champions league last season and is back from injury this weekend.
I like Riis a lot, sounds like he might be available at a knock down fee. I think he's a bit less spectacular than Isidor without having to change the playing style, but is probably more of an aerial presence and can link up play a little better. Maybe we can give them Browne back as a makeshift in the deal.
