Horizon An American Saga part 1 - 6.7

The dialogue and acting is all good but it feels like little actually happens through most of it. It’s basically just 3 hours of introducing characters… usually there’d be a build up to something climactic. I know there’s set to be 4 parts and I’ll probably watch part 2 when it’s out but I can see why for a perceived epic it didn’t score greatly.

Binged Squid Game 2 over 2 nights on Netflix... really enjoyed it - bizarre and surreal at times but visually stunning ...

The Bikeriders 6.7/10 Jodie Cromer in Oscar form but the film seems rushed and lacks any depth about the characters.

    Binge watched SAS rogue heroes.
Didn’t think they could improve on the first series, but they did.

Best Christmas TV of the season.

Shame I didn't watch till New Year!

Bound to be a second series, surely.

Watched Killers of the Flower Moon on AppleTV+ ... had seen it before ... bit slow paced at times but the directing (Scorsese) and acting from De Nero, DiCaprio and Lily Gladstone is top drawer - 9 overall

Watched The Substance on Prime - quite bizarre - Demi Moore in a smorgasbord of Dorian Gray meets Frankenstein with a smidgen of Carrie and 300 thrown in <laugh> ... added bonus was some serious ****bank material ... **** knows what rating to give it ...

Watched that missing you, based off a Harlan coben book. Thought it was the worst one they’ve done. All the others they’ve done is read the book, don’t think I’d read this one but the series was ****e. 4/10

Things still being watched are s2 of silo, skeleton crew, the agency.

Silo s2 isn’t as good as s1 though is getting marginally more interesting as it progresses.
Skeleton crew is enjoyable. It’s goonies in space. The agency is also very good so far albeit slightly annoying to follow if you end up reading ****e on your phone whilst watching.

not seen a decent film in ages. Carry on was ok. Thought the acting was ****e. 7/10 tops.

plan on watching the Norwegian war film this weekend. Can’t remember what it’s called but is on Netflix.

new series on silent witness was watchable though the acting is soo poor at times. Kinda miss that disabled bird with claw hands being in it.
