I think the "generational opportunity" is more to do with the incredible young talent we are currently blessed with. Yes, we might easily find ourselves in and around the top 2 / 6 again in future seasons, but what makes this one special is the likes of Jobe, Rigg, etc who could genuinely become world class players. Fail to win promotion this season and they're gone, likely for a fraction of their true value. Go up, there's a good chance they stick around for another year, continue to progress and maybe give us a good chance and staying up. And if they leave the season after, it will be for significanty more money than it would be this coming summer. It could set the club for the next decade with funds to progress up the Premier League. I don't think it's a generational opportunity for promotion. But it might just be a generational opportunity to secure the club's future for years to come.
And its going to come down to one or two games or even one or to ref calls over the next few months. Not that I'm being dramatic or anything like.
I genuinely believe Leeds would be 8-10 points clear at the top now if they’d had a decent keeper this season.
Yeah, but it's all old news ain't it. We love the buzz but now I just wanna see it progress, one way or another.
My 2p on the club being promoted and our midfield situation. We've gotta strive for promotion, there's nothing else beyond winning something. Unfortunately money comes first, the club wanna be in the Prem, as long as it isn't a disaster we will have to grin and bare it. The lads will learn from it. If you ask me, we don't necessarily need a new midfielder. If Samed becomes available and looks good, then Rigg gets back, I'd be happy to rely on upon those two, Neil, Jobe and Aleksic. That said, can you really turn down someone so highly rated? I say, it's hard.
