It does seem from chat on Pasoti that Argyle have been rejected by Walsall to speak to their manager Matt Sadler who has put them in a strong promotion position in Div 2.

Most chat and "informed" speculation say that the moon is made of green cheese.

He certainly had a playing career: 492 league appearances from Premier League down, England up to Under 19's.

However, to quote the more reliable Wikipedia:

    Managerial career
    [edit]

    Walsall]
    [edit]
On 19 April 2023, Sadler was appointed interim manager of Walsall following the departure of Michael Flynn until the end of the 2022–23 season.[111] On 18 May 2023, he was appointed head coach on a permanent basis.[112]

On 7 January 2025, with Walsall sitting top of the league, ten points clear of second place, Sadler signed a new three-and-a-half year contract.[113]

    That doesn't sound promising.

A snippet of news in todays Daily Express says....."That David Warner has walked away from talks to replace Wayne Rooney at Plymouth".

Looks as if the Plymouth job isn't attractive enough to get the right type of manager onboard.

Just teaches us not to believe what we read in the press and even less so on the internet.

Not sure what to make of this one and have to admit to being slightly disappointed it wasn't Schumaker in the end. That's despite what I thought of him leaving to Stoke. However, he is now our man so will back him and see where it goes.

They say never go back, or at least Jack Reacher does, and you don't mess with him.

To be fair, I don't think Jack Reacher knows much about football.

So who has heard of Miron Muslic 42yr old Austrian....Argyles new manager....the first European manager we have had.

How much of a gambol is this.....suppose to tick all the right boxes to fit the PAFC formula...but if foreign players can take time to get up to speed.....how so a foreign manager ?

We need to hit the ground running and get the new manager bounce like seems to happen with some signings.

We cannot afford a third consecutive failure.....that will surely get us relegated.....He'll be at tomorrows match.....and will take over next week before our next league match.....he has signed a three and a half year deal.
