Not sure about this mate. Hamer and OHare at Sheff utd dont seem to be rotated. Brownhill and Cullen at Burnley the same. Ampadu at Leeds only through injury I think. I have focussed on midfielders only. Most coaches will value a consistent spine. Partnerships are key in football. Centre backs, Centre mids etc. The last couple of months we have seen Neil and Jobe become dominant, probably the most dominant pair in the division. That comes from consistency in part. Similarly we have let Isidor play through a rough patch and our now reaping rewards. Same with Mayenda. Last year folk were crying out for Jobe to get a break. He didnt. Now look at him. Rigg is exactly the same, he is developing so fast due to game time. He is getting a natural break now. When he is fit he needs to be back playing week in week out to continue his development.
I like the look of this bloke mind If he does sign we need zero reports just a tweet of an image with Vinicius 9 on a shirt
I can't see why any of them would want to leave now. There are contracts until June 2026,at least....surely the time would be in June this year when the player would look at it,and give the club a decision to make, depending on where we are at the end of the season? Is there the urgency of debate at the minute?
Guess there's a layer of info that sits above that too. All subs aren't equal. Just looking at the last game and Rusyn getting a run out in injury time. Still counts as a sub used but doesn't really fit into the profile of meaningful substitution that most would consider. The pattern at SAFC has tended to be one/two at 70 mins plus another round in the last minutes of the game. The early phase ones are the ones that you would expect to be more impactful - both on the game itself and on the feeling of involvement given to the players involved. The latter ones are merely spoilers and are unlikely to move the needle on player happiness and sharpness.
The key is developing the club and the players at the same time, that's hard to do tbh. Just by us signing a quality player doesn't mean it'll necessarily impact any of our players developments - in fact it could help them Rigg Jobe and Neil will still play loads of minutes between now and the end of the season - they'll also all be better next season because of it We have to improve the squad if we want ti kick on and signing Le Fee improves the squad imo
When we say Rigg, Neil and Jobe wouldn’t be happy being left out if Le Fee comes you should also bear in mind that all of our squad are trying for promotion which, if we got it, would mean a good half of them not getting games as the squad would be further strengthened. It’s a kind of kamikaze thing. If Onion tries his best and helps get us promoted I fear that he will lose his place as will several others.
If it is Vinicius he was terrible and Fulham and Spurs in the Prem might be ok for Championship but not excited by this.
If a team ia negotiating with us on Rusyn, it might be a case of putting him in a couple of times to demonstrate the player is still valuable to us and therefore they should pay what we're asking.
It is difficult. And I have faith in the opinions of posters on here who have watched Le Fee and say he will improve us. My concern, and it is only my own, is Le Fee will play. Roma will be looking for assurances, Regis has to be pulling the strings here not our primary recruitment team, and in that case he will plag. I dont believe rotation will be anything like players take turns. So one of the lads who has got us here sits out more often than not. Imo Rigg needs to play every week to develop at the rate he can, same with Jobe. All for a loan player? Folk on here know my bias toward academy players. I would back Rigg over Le Fee, for example, because of the long term benefits for the club of producing elite talent. I doubt Rigg would be here if it werent for Dan Neil for example. Academies are self-fulfilling prophecies if they are done well, and we are on the brink of doing it exceptionally. It doesnt take a lot to persuade a young academy talent to choose somewhere else. If Le Fee joins, all good. Nothing against him as a player. I would simply rather keep faith in the lads who have done so brilliantly so far, who are developing in front of our eyes, and back them up with players more likely able to step in when needed, rather than someone I expect will expect to play the majority of games. Even if that is the difference between promotion or not. I suppose I have long felt this squad, as it stands, will be top 2. I have said it enough. I base that on players getting better as the season progresses, and Regis knowing more about the league. I still think that. If the club think differently so be it. At the end of the day they have earned my faith recently.
Anyone know where the links to Vinicius came from? Not many experienced (In English Football) strikers kicking about atm which would be available to us
Some have heard we are in talks with him - Di Canio's Knees is hinting at a striker from the prem being in talks for a loan on RTG and others have said they have heard its Vinicius
100% Vinicius he's talking about. Said he's played in top tiers since 2018, the last year Vinicius played in a second tier. All the other hints point towards him too, coupled with the very reliable lad on here mentioning him last week it seems it's almost certainly him...
Really hope we sign the lad, but for context you could easily do a Patrick Roberts YouTube with just as impressive clips.
Those long post you've made were really good at expressing what a lot of people feel, especially about the Premiership in 2025. I'd also agree about our local lads and assume the vast majority on here would be in broad agreement as well, I think we should really appreciate just what calibre of player Le Fee is though, he is probably the best uncapped Frenchman around as things stand and there were some big expectations for him at Rennes and Roma, so this is really a game changing transfer and should be totally out of the realm of possibility for a Championship club. Our ace card here is RLB because without him, any notion of signing this player would be laughed out of his agents office.
Exactly my opinion mate, Southern asked what’s the point. My point would be the enjoyment of watching these lads that we have now playing excellent football and enjoying themselves. Southerns point is winning 4/6 matches a season and getting battered the other 32, sounds Fab.
