They’d be well clear at the top if it wasn’t for Meslier He’s dropped many clangers. Just look at our equaliser
It's a shame only 3 can get promoted, really. There's not muchbto separate the top 4 teams but one will have to miss out, just hope it's not us!
Play offs are a lottery I'd rather avoid. How many times have a 5th or 6th placed nipped in and won the big prize at Wembley?
Hadn't realised just how close to relegation zone Luton were now. I knew they were near the bottom but thought they had quite some daylight. How on earth is Rob Edwards still their manager?
Never really occurred to me how entertaining this promotion chase would be for neutrals. You'd think a lot of neutrals would be rooting for us as the non parachute team. Anyway - its a pretty fair assessment that.
did expect Leeds and Sheff Utd to run away with it at start so happy we in the mix with a great chance if board get January right expect the other 3 to spend some of the parachute money
That's dreadful - surprised they haven't been punished more for that Unstainable and don't seem to be learning from it
Quotes from Tom Cleverley: “With all due respect to the other teams outside the top four, I think there is quite a big gulf in the league this season between Sunderland, Sheffield United, Burnley and Leeds, and the rest,”
The play offs tend to be won by the team coming into them on a run of form and building up momentum. That's why it's often the 5th or 6th placed team that makes it. They have the momentum at that time, while teams in 3rd or 4th have often stumbled in recent games or are on a downer through missing out on the automatic places, so don't have the momentum. It's what makes it such a lottery.
I read that and was quite interest to know what's gone wrong. They seem to have spent loads of money on players who become worth less than they paid ... ... just as Sunderland used to do. The fact that KLD's first team squad is worth twice what he paid for the entire club shows he's a smart lad. And, in the meantime, improved the entire club from top to bottom. Unless he eventually sells to someone as useless as the Coates family he's set the club up for decades.
Stoke are a car crash of a club since relegation, the owners have constantly done exactly the same year after year. Employ a Manager, let him bring in his own players to "build his team", sack the manager who then needs to buy his own players and get rid of the ones the previous manager liked. There is no strategy, just employ a manager, throw money at him in the hope it works, when it doesnt, sack him and start again
After Boro we don’t have anything you’d call a derby … … other teams do and that can’t be a bad thing. Sheff Wed can give Leeds a game just as Hull did.
