I didn’t need to google him mate. Italian teams spending over 20m on a player is still a fairly big deal over there. He’s way above championship level.
He was mate but not so sure anymore, last 2 seasons, 0 goals, 0 assists, Roma had 3 managers this season non of them fancied him. He shouldn't be taking a big step down to the championship if he's on song. Le Bris still obviously rates him and possibly thinks he can get him back on track, bit of a gamble.
It’s a loan with an option to buy. It seems right up our street, tbh. Taking on players with huge potential that haven’t lived up to it or gone off their boil and turn them around to get the best out of them. I trust the club, now. As long as Le Fee is fit, he’ll walk this league.
So, if Geldhardt is on his way out, surely we are bringing someone in, particularly a Bamford is out (yet) again for the foreseeable future?
No point to Bamford whatsoever, we’re getting nothing more from him until his contract expires. My point was more that aren’t we one more down when Geldhardt goes.
Don't think Sunderland would have been interested with the level of young goalkeepers already on their books. Matty Young is only a year older, capped upto England U20 level and currently playing in League 2 for Salford.
