I think Jobe will be lining up for us next month - whether we still own his registration is open to debate. Both Tottenham and Arsenal would see him as somebody for the future (i.e. regular first team in 12-18 months) and so a 6 month loan back for him to continue to develop would work for them. It might also negate the need for a January Premium cost as well. The hints seem to be that we have made a promise that he can go if the right offer for all parties is made in which case the rumours about Le Fee make sense and represent good forward planning from the club.
I see that Cardiff have recalled Roko Simic. Was excited about the prospect of signing him in the summer so I'm interested to see how he does at Cardiff. His loan at Kortrijk was poor.
Found the whole thing utterly bizarre. Seemed too good for Cardiff and they loaned him to a lower level where he did nothing. Hopefully for them he's as good as the hype and can turn their season around.
That was the number reported in the summer before the new contract I’m thinking one went off that and the rest have blindly followed suit
Showed a lot of potential and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t excited however there’s clearly something off the fact he got let go so easily. To Cardiff who were desperate for a forward and loaned him out
One thing that is certain is that we will not be held to ransom. A huge piece of work in recent years has been the contracts for these players. We sell on our terms and nobody else’s. These players are enjoying their football and will see themselves the progress they’ve made here in a short space of time. The club has a fantastic reputation these days. Current league position also helps a great deal.
https://romapress.net/le-fee-remain...m-spain-and-england-prefers-return-to-france/ Was fun while it lasted The latest proposals for him came from Real Betis and Sunderland. However, as reported by La Repubblica, Le Fée remains unconvinced by these two destinations. The player would much rather prefer a return to France where Lille have emerged as a possible destination.
Best business we can do this window is keep our best players. I would happily sign nobody if it meant this squad were kept in tact. We are on a roll with them and Regis, and both are improving. We will be better second half of the season with them. Lets not upset the good thing we have.
I think we can to be honest, he's had at least two opportunities to leave the club with us being powerless to stop him - the most recent being this summer when signing his first pro deal - and with multiple big clubs showing interest and putting (more lucrative) offers on the table for him. He and his family/team prioritised his development, playing time and loyalty and gratitude to the club above all else.
Yes but as I've said in a subsequent post, both players have improved dramatically since and both are arguably ready to start games now for teams like Palace when they weren't ready in the summer. That can work two ways - either they see the benefit of staying to improve that trajectory or they now feel ready to make such a move. We don't know for sure which way they choose if a big offer comes in that the club are happy to accept. Hopefully, and it feels more likely, they both would want to continue.
Aye, sorry, I should have read on before responding. Does still suggest we can assume with reasonable certainty that he is getting sensible advice though which was the point I was responding to.
