I'm hearing that the bogs will be gold plated and that you get a free BJ from supermodels to clean up after having a piss. These extras cost.

Spurs on Saturday. A horrible corporate NFL stadium with zero atmosphere.

That is what will happen if we build a new stadium. **** that.

    Not necessarily...design.

St James Park is just some old concrete and scaffolding mate...it's all in your mind outside that and it will continue on.

Unless you don't want success anyway.

You don't need a new stadium to be successful.

Was just reading some analysis by a football finance person. Reckons if we were to build a new 65k seater stadium, we'd be looking at approx £30m-£40m per season increase in matchday revenue and about £40m-£50m increase in annual commercial revenue. So between £70m and £90m extra per year.

It's also less disruption and players will look and think I wanna play there. Newcastle need to maximise any advantages they possibly can and wipe their arses with any romantics.

It will make the likes of isak think you know what I like where this is heading.

All that to one side it will make the makems seethe more and more along with all the other haters

We have the richest owners of any other club in the world. If they are willing to foot the bill for a state of the art new stadium and they want something that is going to blow everything else out of the water I say we snap their ****ing hands off and take the deal and live with it. We'll likely never get another chance like this again if they suddenly decide this isn't for them anymore and disappear off in to the sunset with their billions.

I'd love us to stay where we are and if a new stadium isn't too far away from SJP then that will sweeten things up for most people who are either against this or on the fence.

Oh, and whilst we're on the subject of bogs, I see one of Chippy's favourite pre-match haunts has bowed to his endless rants about the state of them. Gold plated toilet seats, flushers and bog brushes all round it would seem!

    Totally agree here.
Our stadium looks dated and to take that big step which Spuds have taken in revenue we need to expand to a decent level. It will create loads of jobs for the area too and will likely be a lot greener also..
With a state of the art stadium we'll attract more concerts etc... too and be seen as a bigger draw as a city.

On the bog front, the Garter had the most abysmal bogs so it's heart warming to see they are refurbing them. I just hope the grouting is of a better standard this time around as it looked like Stevie Wonder had done it last time.

New stadium Leazes sounds perfect to me. Can build 3 sides then presumably we have one season away from SJP. Location more or less the same.

we stay where we are for now 52,000
and we build a 3 sided stadium 65,000
then demolish old Leazes and build super stand +18,000 - 20,000
    <whistle>
