Don’t worry, there’s a young English manager, who played for Scotland and has Premier League experience waiting to be hired in the summer. His name escapes me at the moment.
Sport Republics first game as owners 3 years ago was at home v Brentford. We won 4-1. 3 years on and it’s fair to say they have completely ****ed up every aspect of the football side of the football club, culminating in this full circle home game against Brentford today…yeah 0-5 just about sums them and their time as our owners up.
Well we sacked the manager and somehow got worse. What next? Sack all the players and start the Women’s team?
I don’t think that’s true. We didn’t get worse. We’ve looked slightly better the last couple of games. Today we were ****ed without Downes and with Jurić still learning the squad. I still think overall his management will improve us compared with Martin.
I do hope SR are squirming in their seats at the moment. The fan base can be rightly aggrieved. Finishing worse than derby as well as record 9-0 defeats is pretty humiliating. pretty hard to claim their ownership has been a success so far. Sadly.
That's a good point on Downes. A lot of people have complained that he is a championship player and isn't good enough for the PL. Yet look how much worse we are when he is missing. I maintain that the problem is the fact he never has a good CM alongside him rather than him not being good enough. Fernandes and Aribo aren't natural CMs and Lesley isn't good enough yet.
