What is attraction with Le Fee? The little I know of him doesnt make me see the clear fit. Other than being someone Regis knows well it is a story that doesnt ring true for me. I see him as a centre mid, not a holding one of attacking one. He is not blessed with a goal or assist record to shout about. Looking at last season in France he was in and out, but I have no idea if that was injury or not. Certainly seems be subbed in a lot of games. Is it as simple as Ranieri not fancying him at Roma, or is the level too high? I just have real doubts he could hit the ground running in this league, whether he would offer more than we get from Jobe, Rigg or Neil, and indeed whether we would commit to a prem deal for him if promoted. I think if we are pushing for players to make a difference in the second half of the season we really need to have confidence they will be an upgrade, or can impact from the bench, or indeed have a proven capability in this league. The current aide have us right in the mix for promotion. I think we will be looking more at reinforcements than upgrades, or different styles of players to what we have, such as a CF with a real aerial presence.
His stats are quite good and the reports we are getting are stating this is someone who RLB wants and knows well and actively wants to bring him here. You don't go for 20m twice in a row if you're not of some decent quaity imo.
this is a good read on him https://totalfootballanalysis.com/article/enzo-le-fee-202223-scout-report-tactical-analysis-tactics
He’s an everything midfielder the underlying data shows that he was integral to RLB lorient team and was one of the best midfielders in the division
there’s no way that the family that have curated the career of Jude and are now doing it with jobe would sanction a move mid season. there’s an arguable debate he does go to a palace type team in the summer, after all it is the premier league but there’s no chance it happens in Jan.
Exactly. If he wants he could have the choice of any top ten premier league club. He may even decide that a move abroad would do his career wonders. Or he might think that his current club are going places and he wants to be a part of that.
Time will tell I suppose. If he arrives be interesting to see who drops out of our midfield. You would imagine someone would have to. Unless someone is away of course. Personally, I would be targeting a different profile of player.
Palace would be a good landing spot for Jobe mind. They have a recent history of taking top end young championship talent and giving them a platfrom. Olise, Eze, Wharton being good examples. Not a club that is massively threatened by relegation so they are more than willing to give young players minutes. Dougie Freedman is very good at his job. The Bellinghams have their heads screwed on, Jobe won't be going to a club because of their status as a 'big club', he'll go to a club that is best for his career.
If he comes in, it would be up to him to break into the team rather than someone dropping out the team to accommodate him He was class the season under RLB, was the heart beat of the team and everything went through him. I do always worry about smaller CMs playing in the championship too but he does move the ball quickly and he covers the ground well so that helps If RLB wants him, it tells me that RLB knows he can adapt to English football and there's no doubt that he will improve the squad
I'm not going to say he wouldn't go to Palace as I see no problem with it being his next step. He won't rush to a big club until he is going to be playing regular at that level! What I do have a problem with is saying we value him at £20million he is worth at least that just taking into account how good he has been this season and the fact he is young enough to get better. But then take into account he is English, his family name and him being marked as one for the future for years and we are going to be asking for at least £30 million or more imo!
