All that matters is keeping the 3 points ticking over. Still feel we will go up the gears at some point this season, hope Regis gets a bit of help in January.

Thought Pompey were aggressive and pressed well, way better than when we played them away. We were a bit sloppy and maybe a bit fatigued but just keep putting the points on the board which is the most important thing. Got to improve our finishing and game management but good to keep a clean sheet again.

Since 14th Dec we've played 6 games in 22 days with 4 wins a draw and one defeat which is great by any standards, 13 points out of 18....magic lads.
Reg and the lads have earned to put their feet up. Well done what a squad we have.

    Im sure you’re right …

… but I’m sure Leeds thought the same two goals ahead at Hull.

Three points, a clean sheet and a striker scoring will do me tbh.

If we’ve picked up no injuries that's a bonus.

He’s meant to be back for Stoke next weekend like. Not that I’d risk him in that one

Exactly. All wins have to fought for. Could have been many more. One was enough

Just got back in, brilliant win. Need to start taking chances but main thing is we are creating them. Thought Roberts was excellent today. Neil also, but he always is these days.

Hopefully. But it's a muscle injury, so best to take time.

I'd settle for 1 nil wins from now till the end of the season.

We had gears to up if needed and thankfully we didn't.

    A really professional performance

Rubbish game but the sort of rubbish game that could easily lead to lost points.

we keep getting the wins and the the momentum builds! Well done Regis!!

Thawed out and fed at home, bloody hell it was cold! Dan Neil stood out again for me and Roberts grafted hard and seemed to come into more when they went a man down. Even though Jobe had a good game, thought he looked tired at times and hopefully he'll get a break next weekend along with a good few others. Mayenda and Isidor are linking up well but I would like to see Mayenda start putting his chances away more often but that's just being picky. He's 19 and it'll come. Portsmouth carne up for a point and the early goal did us well and gave us a massive foothold on the game. Don't think Portsmouth really bothered us until the last 10 mins when they threw everything at us.

Good to see Cirkin looking back to his self and he should've got a penalty at the start of the second half. We're 2 points behind Burnley with them to play in a couple of weeks - can't wait. Play fringe and kids next weekend and concentrate on the league. Hopefully the bench will look good in a couple of weeks so Regis can use it more. Onwards and upwards!!

Am I being over critical but was Hume not great today. When I looked at flashscore he got one of the highest marks. Perhaps just me.

Did I really see us given offside twice today despite the last SAFC player to play the ball being the one given offside?

I said before the Sheffield United game that 2 wins from them, Leeds and Burnley was what we need to get us towards top 2 and stand by that.

With my eyes thought he was by miles out worst player. His pace has always worried me but the fact they were dropping it in behind by choice was a sign they targeted him.
