Just got back, bloody hell we made hard work of that. Saying that how many deflected shots did we have?!

We were also unbelievably bad at headers, the timing of the jumping was becoming a bit comical.

But a win is a win and off to somehow warm up my hands and knackers.

I just wouldn’t be surprised to see O’Nien shift to RB and Ballard come in. Wouldn’t be complaining, either

Massive game in 2 weeks time. We should rest as many next Sat in the Cup. Hopefully Samed might get a run out along with Aleksic, Hjelde etc.

Mundle cant be too far away now aswell. It would be great to have him back for Burnley

Well that was about the coldest I can ever remember being.

Made hard graft of what could easily been a walkover but it’s a win and a clean sheet.

Mayenda, if he can polish the end part, could be one of the best players we’ve had here.

He really is raw as a tin of tuna but my god he is a menace.

Thought that game was almost too easy. Were a bit careless and casual for much of the game. Thought the front four did pretty well - albeit wasteful. On another day it’s comfortable. Dan Neil was excellent. Jobe got going. Even O’Nien improved with passing out of defence. Felt he and Mepham were ponderous on the ball first half. Still, made it nervy for ourselves in the final stages by not taking our chances. Also we were flagging towards the end - particular Eli (who was good other than wayward finishing). Could have done with a sub abiut 10 mins earlier.

Ah well. On we go. Now 11 subs for next week, please Regis.

Back home a slightly scrappier game than necessary. Need to be more ruthless in these games but the three points were vital

I can’t fault any of the players today even those who made mistakes or missed chances. I met a Standard Liege fan, and his son, on the train who’d come to watch us after seeing STID. He said that match wouldn’t have started there, because of the cold and weather.

It wasn’t ever going to be a classic and the players deserve credit for sheer effort …

… we didn’t finish them off but we quite easily could’ve.

That's the double done over Portsmouth, thanks for the six points.

It is a dangerous lead, and it was a nervous 10 minutes, should have been out of sight really

The way Isidor takes his chances, including the one offside today, makes me think he is the best finisher we have had on our books for a long time.

He had his dip and seems to have found another level as he’s come back up.

He’s holding onto the ball and carrying it better, and he’s more involved.

    He’s proper developing.

More or less what I was going to say. Obviously my hands and knackers not yours <laugh>.

I would like to add did Patto have a bet with their goalie on who could kick the ball directly out of play more. Utter fkn w*nk. He did however try a couple of low level kicks directly to Wilson which if he gets them right could be decent
