Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure rates Sunderland's Lee Cattermole among his toughest ever opponents. He has relished physical challenges presented by Frank Lampard and Paul Scholes. "Scholes was small but don't be fooled, he was tough," he told the Daily Mail. There are others, too. "The one at Sunderland, what is he called?" he asked. "Yes, (Lee) Cattermole, that's him. Very strong!" Personally ill be glad to see him dropped. An absolute liability and I cant believe Vaughan and Gardner sat out for the whole game while he played!!
i rate Cattermole highly. If he had someone who took up an advanced role we would see the best out of him. but with Colback playing Cattermole has to do everything because Colback doesn't touch the ball, as shown today.
I'm with the pro Catts lads. He always gives 100% which at times leads to rash challenges. Far too many of his bookings have been because of his reputation not the actual offence. Today he worked his socks off doing two men's work which he had to as Colback decided to take the day off. The card today he took one for the team imho.
I think some of our fans rate the players by the fact the run around like headless chickens and they aint afraid to put in a challenge rather than there actual ability Catts should go IMO
He's not the same after his injury I think he is a yard slower and his decision making at times is poor, personally I think he has mistake Catts for Meyler as Meyler was outstanding against City a couple of seasons ago. Just before his bloody injury.
Just watched the highlights on MOTD, who was it that was making the decisive pass to start our more free flowing attacks nearly every time? Yup Catts.
not me mate....when we had our good run just before last christmas he was by far our best player..he got injured.never quite the same yet but he is a good player trying to get back to full fitness......the tackle he got yelow carded for was described by one journo as nasty.....in no way was it!
