    Merry christmas. Couldn't have a summer christmas. Doesn't feel right unless your fighting off man flu, and refusing to get up because it's cold out of bed.

    I was taking risks saying what I did - I have to be careful not to upset Premier league fans as my humble L2 team are into the 3rd round FA Cup draw tomorrow (after 2 victories against L 1 opponents)

    From the land of ice and snow (neither of which have befallen my region ...yet) I'll wish all of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

    I've just come home from a Christmas concert - I was one of the performers) and I'm kind of "Up on Christmas" just now. I'll be back to my normal cynical self in a day or two

    FFS you are early with this mate. Have a great Christymas and lay off the booze. Was on the beach yesterday in 25 degrees heat hitting golf balls all over the place. Locals were very amused. Have a great one mate.

    WBA striker reveals QPR fate


    SHANE Long has predicted QPR will survive the Premiership – and reckons none of last season’s Championship sides will suffer the drop.

    The WBA striker poached a goal against the run of play to net his team a 1-1 draw at Loftus Road on Saturday with nine minutes left.

    But the Irish international reckons new faces like Joey Barton (pic) are the reasons why Hoops will be in the top flight this time next year.

    “Rangers mix it up, and with the likes of Joey Barton they’re a force. They can kick it long up to Helguson and Bothroyd who dominate in the air.

    “All the teams that came up I would tip to stay up – I know them well from last season when I was at Reading. The QPR team a lot different from last season – but they’ve improved it and all the teams who got promoted will do the Championship justice.”
