Christ, that was a very wet game. Pub with a Guinness now so all good.

Made a bit of a hard show out of that. We need to settle the hell down in the final third. That said, we were easily the better team. Big 3 points once again, and that's what it is all about.

Thought Neil and Jobe were very good. Hume looked a bit done in for me.

Difficult game in difficult conditions, the ref or the eagle eyed linesman who saw the offside didn't see the fouls in the box against us. Cirkin incident was a clear penalty.

Credit it to them they scrapped and scrapped and it won them a lot of second ball and they closed a lot of passing lines down and twice they cleared off the line but we made it harder than it needed to be. We were a bit flat and service into the box wasn’t great. Aouchiche does some good things but we need better. Once again we’re missing Mundle or Watson on the left who can get behind. Mayenda needs to develop his right side. When he does he’ll be class. His movement is good. I’d say 09 was our best player.

Yeah, personally I don't care 1 bit about the cup and want to see our key players given a much needed winter break.

Neil comfortably the best player on the park again for me

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Hume drop out against Burnley. O’Nien-Mepham-Ballard-Cirkin

Should have been a lot more comfortable than that, 3 points and move on. Hopefully a few more bodies in for Burnley

Mousinho says it was a definite red card, Sunderland are one of the best teams in the division, and Isidor the best striker.

refreshing from an oppo manager :D

I’m going to the cup match (have a soft spot for FA Cup matches) but I’d love to see as many players rested as possible !

Given the Holiday Fixtures, the injuries, and the conditions, this was never going to be a free flowing classic. I was only interested in 3 points...they clearly came for a point, then made sure they didn't concede again. But I agree with the above... I'd rest every one of these players for next week... couldn't give a stuff about the FA Cup

O’Nien’s driving runs galvanised our attack at times.

I was on about the Burnley game mate <laugh>

Hjelde should definitely start against Stoke

I want all of these to feature from the start - Moore Johnson Hjelde Alese Jones Aleksic Connolly Ogunsuyi.

    Mint 3 points.

Isidor doing Isidor things. Love him

Mayenda was quite wasteful today sadly. Should have done a lot better with his chances.

I thought AA had an off game too.

    Neil is ****ing quality.

But most important thing we won. So let’s keep going
