I think a few clubs will be looking to take him, but he has the envious position of not only choosing where he goes, but also staying with Wycombe and enjoying promotion, while raising his value and potentially going to an even bigger club.

Yeah, true. Although, at somewhere like Luton he’ll still probably be behind Morris, Woodrow and Adebayo. Better chance at solid minutes if he joined us.

Also, I’ve seen Wycombe have lost or are due to lose some of their best loan players due to being recalled so they could slip out of the automatic promotion race.

Richard Kone is very raw, people don’t want to miss out on the next Vardy

If Sellés vetoed going back in for Meffert, I wonder who he wants as a number 6.

I’ve been impressed with Alzate as the deepest midfielder but I think he and the team would be better if he played as one of the 8s with Puerta or Slater. The more he plays, the sharper he looks and he’s really good in tight spaces and possibly the best passer we’ve had since Seri.

I thought we lost a lot of energy when Puerta went off and Alzate replaced him against Boro, I think he’s the best at 6 we’ll find. Defensive work is underrated too. Slater and Puerta don’t have like for likes ATM

Get what you mean but I think Puerta and Slater lack that creativity. Puerta and Slater are good runners with the ball but they’re both box-to-box midfielders. Palmer’s more creative but injured, Mehlem and Ömür were expected to be creative playmaker-type players but the former has now been shipped out on loan and the latter is really off-form. We need a bit more creativity in the final third. Yesterday, Slater on a couple of occasions carried the ball out brilliantly and skipped past two or three Leeds players but then didn’t see the front three making runs ahead of him.

Alzate, we can control games with him there. I’m genuinely starting to think he’s better than Seri

Considering how much quality Leeds have in their midfield, he was comfortably the best on the park yesterday, no one could get close

Seri was better deeper as he never lost the ball and broke up the opposition play excellently.

Alzate has the same composure but uses it to find attacking and clever balls higher up but on the flipside isnt as good in the tackle.

Alzate really is becoming a fine player for us, he’s had a lot of injury troubles which I guess is why he rarely gets the full 90 minutes. Superb when under pressure from opposition tackles.

Alzate is pretty good in the tackle I think. Quite often he slides for the ball, taking it off the other player while keeping it under control and then setting up a counter attack. He’s a quality player.

I thought he was another Seri but he’s shown a lot of class off the ball too.

5 tackles yesterday in 68 mins
2 tackes 2 interceptions against Boro
3 tackles against Boro in 30 mins
6 tackles in 90 against Preston

He and Puerta have a really good understanding, Slater is allowed to go quietly about his business with those 2

A number of times seri had the ball taken off him up near the half way line and the opposition forward waltzed his way through our half and went on to score.
