Most of those achieved in a few brief purple patches surrounded by seasons of mediocrity and injury. He did well at Boro with 28 in 77, and then well under Bielsa at Leeds, but that's it.
We haven’t signed a decent striker on a permanent since Acun bought the club, despite it being our number one priority every transfer window. We’re the least attractive we’ve been since he took over, so I’d wager this transfer window won’t be the one in which that changes. I’d much rather we try and get a loan for a striker who has a lot of potential which, from the sound of it, is what we seem to be doing.
I'd argue we're still more attractive than in his first two windows, particularly with someone like Selles at the helm and a good core of players already here.
Could Joe Gelhardt be the one we're after? May fit Selles' demands as a player a bit more than Bamford (Just seen it's been posted above!)
In the last four seasons Vern has scored more than Bamford, avoid him at all costs, Bamford too. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
I can’t imagine we’ll get much quality signed in this window. Not to say we shouldn’t try but it’s more difficult than in summer and we’ve got a league position going against us in terms of attractiveness too. TWT
double that according to OLM, but we wouldn’t be paying all his wages. Get him signed up, proven goal scorer at this level
