There are some crazy results there. Sheffield United losing at Sunderland; dare I say it. Portsmouth walloping Swansea, Stoke getting a draw at Burnley………. I doubt many got those right!
Oxford winning at Millwall.....hurt us badly......didn't expect that. We lost ground on Portsmouth, Oxford, QPR, .....only gained on Luton, Hull, Derby, Next game against Stoke is big.
Not what you would call a high scoring round with 6 of the 12 games yielding only 1 point or less between the lot of us. Musty, Plym and Sensible all predicted 5 correct match results and Plym, with Away, got two scores spot on to make them top scorers with 10 and 8 respectively. Joe got the goal time, 31 v 32 actual. Away and SMH were tied in third last time out so the positions are somewhat confusing. Plym has extended his lead over Away and Sensible, who are separated by just one point. Musty is pretty much up with the pack now so the Points Progress graph is starting to get clearer as the scales change.
The next round kicks-ff on Saturday 4th January at 12.30 and runs through to QPR v Luton on Monday evening. Here is the match text. The Super Match is Watford v Sheffield United. Both stumbled last time out but both also took 6 points from their last three home and away games respectively. Blackburn Rovers - Burnley Stoke City - Plymouth Argyle Swansea City - West Bromwich Albion Bristol City - Derby County Hull City - Leeds United Middlesbrough - Cardiff City Norwich City - Coventry City Preston North End - Oxford United Sheffield Wednesday - Millwall Watford - Sheffield United Sunderland - Portsmouth Queens Park Rangers - Luton Town There are then 3 games on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, rescheduling previously postponed matches. I was thinking not to bother with these given it's quite a race to keep up with the regular schedule, never mind odd singletons, but as all three are together I think we will do them. Feel free to combine the 3 rearranged games with the 12 regular ones. I will have to score them separately though. One joker only please, chosen from the 12 regular games.
Adding in the 3 extra games for this one, do we include another first goal time for the Argyle match or give it a miss for this one?

Good point. We can do a goal time. I don’t suppose anyone spends a lot of time on that part of the process!

Middlesborough and Sunderland homes wins get unanimous "8s" and QPR would have done if SMH hadn't gone out on a limb on an away win for Luton. It is what you put down SMH - are you sure? They've lost their last 6 away matches. Leeds have 8 on a away win. Swansea v West Brom and Watford v Sheffield United are where opinion differ, with the latter being the Super Match.
Yes - I've seen both Luton and QPR in the past 3 weeks - think Luton can go there and win! Its a fine line between genius and madness!!
It may be but with that forecast I thought you must’ be approaching the line from the madness side! It’s true though there are some strange results in this league. I’m trying to remember when we last had a 0-0 for a start…..
Sorry I’ve led you up garden path about these three rearranged games. The way they were laid out on the Beeb Championship page led me to the idea they were this coming week: in fact they’re AFTER the FA Cup game next Saturday. The FA Cup is on a separate fixture list on the BBC site. I haven’t done anything with them yet so if you want to change your forecasts in the light of what’s happened this weekend, feel free. In the meantime, we’ll have to decide what we’re doing with the FA Cup.
