I will take 3 points anytime and especially when we really didn't play that well and we got through the last 10 minutes unscathed. The 3 player breakaway late in the game ended up with nothing when we should have scored, and there were a couple of other times when their goal was threatened by an overload of City players bearing down on their penalty area. Mayulu concerns me immensely as he doesn't seem to have any skills on or off the ball and his lash at a shot on goal showed how bad he truly is. Anyway the 3 points are in the bag and we move on but if we truly believe we are candidates for the play-offs we will have to do a lot better than what was on display today because I still don't see us as a team that worries the other candidates for promotion. Consistency and determination will get us there but are we really ready for the run-in?
Sky highlights: https://www.skysports.com/football/...city-1-0-derby-county-championship-highlights Max made a couple of important saves in there. Hats off to him.
2 different things. He is a good shot stopper for me, not in doubt, but as you say RP, his distribution is quite poor.
What a load of moaning Minnie’s we’ve 10 points from 12 and 3 points off the play offs. Chear up ffs, you miserable old farts
Had no one next to me today, so never had to hold my fat gut in and could relax with loads of space around me.
Evil Post report: https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/bristol-city-verdict-derby-county-9837660 I must admit I find the EP articles difficult to navigate on my iPhone because it keeps jumping all over the place and opening pop-ups. It’s easier to navigate a porn site (so I’m told)!!! Anyway, some of you may have better luck with your browsers……….. The Derbyshire Telegraph report with Warne’s comments is easier to read: https://www.derbytelegraph.co.uk/sp...-news/derby-county-warne-bristol-city-9837450
Have you seen any of the highlights RP? His first save (fingertip around the post) was top drawer imho - full stretch. It could be argued that the second (tip over the bar) was routine because it was right above where he was standing, but still good reactions imho.
I watched the whole game, unlike you, obviously. The 'first' was an unnecessary save it was going wide so we then needed to defend a corner. The 'second' was as you say, routine and one for the cameras and for fans who don't know better.
