To be fair he has apologised and said he’s angry etc. Not really sure we can blame him at this point. The rot set in long ago.
Fair, I missed that. I do wonder whether he has bothered watching any videos of a past performances though.
Once again it’s on SR. Brought in a manager that only plays 3-4-3. We don’t have a squad built for that formation. (Not sure our squad is built for any formation tbh)
The only difference between 3-5-2 and 3-4-3 is moving one player about five yards back. Formations and tactics and philosophies etc are all irrelevant if the manager doesn't pick the right players and find a way to motivate them.
SAINTS boss Ivan Juric apologised for his side's dismal performance in defeat to Brentford and described it as "like a kick in the head". Bryan Mbeumo scored twice as Brentford thumped sorry Saints 5-0 for their first Premier League away win of the season. Mbeumo, linked with a potential January move to Arsenal, piled on the misery for rock-bottom Saints after Kevin Schade had fired the Bees ahead. Keane Lewis-Potter and Yoane Wissa added insult to injury in stoppage time at the end of another thoroughly miserable afternoon for Saints. Speaking after the match, Juric said: "It was an extremely bad day. A really, really bad game and it was such a difference between the two teams. "I'm really disappointed with everything. With the team, with myself, with everybody. It's just two weeks of work but I expected more. That I can do it more with the team. After the last game, I had a good sensation that we can compete and with some things that we can do better. But today it was like when somebody kicks you in the head. It was a big difference between the two teams. In one against one, in acceleration, in everything. "I think that a few times in my life, even playing with great teams, I didn't have that feeling where we are competing in everything less. "It was like too much difference, too much difference. Against Fulham, it was good defending and a clean sheet in the end. "We created chances a lot against West Ham, a little bit against Crystal Palace and today I was thinking about one step forward and we did three steps back." The Croatian added: "The players know that the situation is very bad because they went through the bad before and now it's the same thing. "But in the moment of the difficult, I think in life you have to stick together. Try to work harder and to change things. This is the only thing they have to do." Saints fans emptied the stadium after the Bees added their injury-time goals but those who remained booed the team off at full-time. Juric responded: "I feel really responsible and sorry that we have that kind of day. Again, it was awful and without joy for this season. "For me, for these two weeks, and for them. I think we have to take one day off, think very well, and this day cannot happen anymore."
and this day cannot happen anymore. And yet it does. Two 9-0, two or three 5-0. Why are Saints so bloody soft? Do we only sign players who want to play ‘nice’ football. Different managers, different players, different owners- same embarrassing results, year after year.
Yep something is completely broken. You don’t see any other clubs as big as ours getting rogered like this
He interviews better than RM. That's at least one thing. But... "I think we have to take a day off"...?? Is he Russell in disguise?
I'm so sick of them that I can hardly be bothered to contribute to this thread. With the exception of Ramsdale the players look disinterested, unambiguous, unfit and in some cases gormless.
When the youngest, least experienced player is standout MOTM, if there was one, it is a damning indictment on the team and club management.
Actually, the one interesting thing from this, not positive, but it is interesting, is to see how he reacts to this performance. He has had two weeks, drilling them in the way he wants them to play, never give up, fight for every ball and be aggressive, and today it was the opposite and the team gave up. So now he has seen what some of our players (I use the term loosely) are like, who will we never see in the team again, what positions will players be placed in from now on? Who will go in January, who will definitely go at the end of the season? Might give us a true idea of what type of manager he is.
Boy am I glad I decided not to get up at 4am to watch that crap. Are we honestly sure we can compete in the Championship? Sell whoever we can get money for, and bring in players to get promoted again. Should be do go up, we have to refresh again. But this is Sports Rebuplic, so they will decide something completely different.
And then you get comments like this from supposedly respected journalists:. Part of hospitality is the players coming out to do this sort of thing- - all those fans will have paid £100+. Why should he not have to do that because we lost? If anything, it would make sense being annoyed if he didn't come out and do that.
