Don't know why but I've got a feeling he is one of them players that is 'injured when the club struggle to see what's wrong or they are injured when they have a little knock/pain that players normally play through but they refuse. Wasn't simular said about Sturridge when he was at Liverpool and his career just bombed out when he was actually doing alright in their side!
I'd take Brooks or Diatta, both improve us - just don't know how long Diatta is out for I don't mind 1 loan this month but don't really want any.more than that - unless mepham or isidor loans get made perm
And I get that as you are likely to get a better calibre of player We could end up with 5 loan signings in match day squads and I just hate seeing teams have loads of loan players in squads
Find it very strange we’re looking at brooks and diatta they’re like polar opposite players. Thought we’d have a blueprint of the kind of player we want id be happy with either, brooks probably the better player atm
According to Transfermarkt, Diatta has already been out for 6 weeks with an adductor injury, just fyi
Diatta peaks my interest. Pace to burn and very versatile. Has played on both flanks and at both full back spots in recent seasons.
Problem is if like Amad , he turns out to be very good we can never compete in the purchase, as his price goes through the roof.
That's what always worries me with loan signings @Bob the Mackem Hull had 5/6 loan players, didn't get promoted and had to replace all of them
