Fantastic song with the video specially filmed for short-lived BBC programme SNUB TV in John Robb's (The Membranes/music journo/author/popular culture commentator/all round good egg) back garden and starring my mate Ajay having his head shaved....thems was the days!
Good times all round. I remember SnubTV from the time and certainly know who John Robb is. I won't pretend I've ever met him, but I used to read his journalism in Melody Maker (I was never a Sounds reader) then later on in the 'papers and I think he was a friend of a friend of my eldest brother for a while. As you say Freak Scene should have been a bigger hit, but fairly or not they strike me as a bunch of lazy bastards who maybe could have been Nirvana if they could've been bothered.
