Agree. When he plays through the middle he has the ability to go either way,left or right....much like Wilson tbf. I thought they carried a lot of threat for defenders the other night....when one goes one way the other can go opposite,and with pace. Nightmare for the defenders.
11 between 3 strikers going into new year is poor really. You'd expect 20 in a top 6 side usually but it shows that we must have spread the contributions throughout the team which is a huge positive. Jobe, Mundle, Watson, Ballard, Cirkin all chipping in for example.
Not really, none of the other teams have 20 goals across their strikers (boro are probably the closest) Most teams top scorers are attacking midfielders now The main thing is getting goals across the team, and 7 from our main striker is good at this stage imo
We play with 1 striker. I hope you don't expect 40 goals from that 1 position over the course of the year. You're going to be very disappointed. How many of the top six sides play with one striker and have 20 goals from the strikers filling that one spot?
I'd be over the moon if he manages 15 this season and others keep chipping in with goals, makes us more of a threat if the goals are spread round the team imo
His goal v Sheffield United was another special one even though it wasn't as spectacular as others. Proper premier league quality the way he stood up a very good defender, burned past him, then opened his body up and delivered the finish. We've got an excellent starting point with him and Mayenda. Just got to add to that this window if we can.
I dont think strikers are a problem if RLB sticks to the winning format , we saw against SU Chuffed if we get a 20 goal striker of course, but would not 5 or 6 into double figures be even better still.
