Agree, in the likes of your Ballard's, Mundle's and Isidor's. Young but had experience in senior football
Probably following J Percys article he originally said sake but has now since altered the article to say loan
Looks like nonsense but I actually think Arsenal would be the best fit for him out of the best English clubs.
https://rokerreport.sbnation.com/20...nderland-approach-the-january-transfer-market Chris Rigg The 17-year-old midfielder has caught the attention of top-flight clubs, with Crystal Palace reportedly preparing a substantial bid. Rigg is a key part of our future, and holding onto him during this window would send a strong message about our ambitions. However, a significant offer could tempt us to consider a move.
If we don’t go up in the summer - Palace would be a sensible move for either Rigg or Jobe. Premier league football with a good chance of starting.
We'd be daft not to expect a lot of rumours for our better players. Sadly it will last all month. No sales though until Summer. See where we are then as a club.
Arsenal would be a great move for Jobe and one I wouldn’t begrudge him. I can’t see Rigg going to Palace or Palace paying the fee we’d want. I’d love nothing more than to see the pair of them playing Premier League football with us but if the likes of Arsenal make substantial offers then we shouldn’t stand in the players way. Can’t see us losing anyone of note this month though.
Unless Palarse are willing to spend 30-40m on Rigg cant see that happening think he would be better off doing the European route rather than going to palarse and wasting away there
Wharton went there and played regularly immediately until his recent injury. I don’t think it would be a bad move for him at all. but like you say I can’t see them paying what we’d want
It all depends what we’re offered. If the bid is huge (30m+), it’s not getting rejected, January or not.
Don't particularly mind selling in January if the club feels like it's the best option to improve the side through reinvestment. Clubs higher up the food chain being interested in our players is a good thing and something we need to get used to.
Agree about getting used to selling but it has to be the summer for me. Selling in a short window like this one and when player's fees get inflated so people would know we have money and need to replace so they would charge us more isn't the move. Especially when we have a chance as good as this for promotion
