Bet John Fenwick would’ve done, he wanted Taylor sacked because he dared drop his precious Musselwhite..
Just listened to the latest 1904 club and replied there with my thoughts on how to contextualise the 23/24 accounts with what to expect in 24/25 with the sales of Philogene and Greaves. I know some don't like discussion of accounts when they aren't there in black and white, but again there's a certain amount of 'forecasting' that you can do based on the known facts.
I should have said '30m of income with 5m spent in 24/25' but I was referring to the profit on sale of Jaden/Greaves. Essentially due to the beauty of amortisation vs income recognition, our player trading is still quite healthy even if we somewhat push the boat out in Jan (assuming it's on permanents not loans). Of course we're still amortising prior year purchases of Giles and Omur (assuming Giles fell in the previous year as a loan with obligation) so it's not as if we have no other costs hitting this year, but it's not as if you look at it as '30m brought in for Greaves and Philogene, 20m out for everyone we've bought, we only have 10m to cover losses'.
****ing hilarious Baz went in 1904 angling for a gloomy future ep with Kieran Maguire. Then a few hours later Hogwash on BBC gets Maguire pretty much saying, yeah some good, some bad but ultimately not a lot to see here in comparison with the rest of the league. Just jump in front of a bus if you see the owner walk out in front of one. Literally.
Free travel available to members for Millwall and Cardiff. Obviously not confident about beating Donny in the Cup!!
Read something on BBC Football, a fan, assuming a City fan, saying HCAFC are £66m in debt...Anything in it?
TBH Chelsea...I'm not wading through that lot.. After last night I'm depressed enough. Reading through that lot would tip me over the edge!
There are two loans shown un the accounts, one to Acun's company £43.8 m and a second loan for £22.9 million. The opening post assumed this was due to the Allams but this is unlikely as it's not secured on any of City's assets and isn't shown in the accounts of Allamhouse. The loan is not immediately repayable and there is no indication who it's from.
I don't know where this speculation about debt to the Allams came from but Shark a few weeks back and now this OP both seemed to think it. Very weird.
It came from the accounts published a year or two ago where it said that the loan to the Allams was written down by £20m and there was no interest payable on the remaining balance. Yet for some reason, people don't want to believe that there's still a balance. I don't think it makes much difference or is a big issue apart from the fact that Acun's lied about it. But he lies to fans quite regularly so I don't think it's unusual behaviour for him.
I remember the reduction of the debt. Then the club was sold and it seems unclear what happened at that point. How do you know the Allams are still owed it as opposed to Acun or Acun medya taking on the debt at the point of sale, as there's no mention of Allam in the accounts?
If it was owed to Acun's company it would be within the 'loans from group undertakings' category. Yet there's £21,918,452 (an identical figure to last year) in the other loans section. It's quite unusual, because nothing has been repaid or interest charged. And it links to the earlier accounts that says there won't be any interest payable on the remaining Allam loan. There's been a lot of confusion and I don't know why Acun wasn't transparent at the time. There was also the reports that the Allams would get money if/when Greaves & KLP were sold (there's no evidence of that in the accounts when KLP left)
Because yet again. The amount acun paid for the club was the outstanding balance which was paid with no interest accrued. Why are you failing to comprehend what has been explained multiple times?
I think it's far more likely the biscuit man or another mate leant acun the cash to buy the club interest free. Since then he's leveraged the club to borrow from Turkish banks (Shark previously said banks don't like lending to football clubs, another fallacy).
There’s no debt to the Allams showing anywhere, it’s just an assumption some have made with zero evidence, ignore it.
