It’s unclear at this stage if Dobbin will be able to force his way into Unai Emery’s long-term plans, but ultimately if he doesn’t, a successful loan spell would still be important for all concerned to see him land elsewhere as Villa look to maximise his value." It seems likely now and it's an interesting one with the strong possibility of a 6 match suspension for Sainz or the possibility of Borja moving elsewhere.

The Pinkun reports that it's "unlikely that he will be replaced" which is a bit disappointing considering Sargent's injury record. If Crnac and Sargent are both out, we have little left to turn to up front. Here's JHT's view: "I can understand that if something comes up and he can get a two-year contract somewhere else it's probably alright, even though I would like him to stay. I really appreciate what he contributes: his mentality and his experience. It's a little bit like the Fasi (Christian Fassnacht) case. We have to accept it if something really good comes up for him and be respectful, but we can definitely use him."
He's a Burnley icon, so will be welcomed back by the club and supporters. Was never really a Norwich "player" and certainly never a fan favourite. Off the pay roll, so more funds available to hold onto our younger players. We are not going to get promoted, so hold onto Sainz, Nunez, Fisher etc and invest for next season.
I think they mean a like for like replacement. If Dobbin comes in he can play any of the front 3 positions.

I’d like to think we might be interested in Peterborough right winger Kwame Poku. 10 goals and 5 assists this season. 23 year old English winger with only 6months left on his contract. Would look like a reasonable replacement for Rowe in my opinion
Sounds like we are looking at a young player from abroad to come in as an option in the front 3 positions as well, with a view to them learning the league for the rest of this season and to have a bigger impact on the next
I always appreciate what Barnes gave to the club, I think he made Sargent a more effective player when they played together
