Well thankfully now home, bloody soaked. Only saving grace was the short trip home. Bloody usless performance.
Looks even worse than what happened on the pitch ! I'm sure most of us can tollerate a low score loss but that was taking the piss out of the fans that made the trip to see a clueless gutless display again against a lower team. After 2 wins on the bounce.
Harry Darling's Swansea City future may not be settled until the summer with negotiations over a new contract set to be "put to bed". Swansea have been attempting to persuade Darling to sign a new long-term deal and the club's offer to the centre-back remains on the table. With the ball now firmly in Darling's court, a decision on his next move may not be made until the end of the season, when he is due to become a free agent. Swansea head coach Luke Williams had been optimistic that Darling would follow defensive partner Ben Cabango's lead by signing a new contract. But when asked after Swansea's New Year's Day thrashing at Portsmouth whether there had been any progress in the Darling negotiations, Williams said: "Not at the moment. "I think we are potentially going to be putting that to bed and letting Harry concentrate on his football." Sounds like he’s off for free in the Summer. Worth selling this month?
Where does one start....heavy rain and winds to dampen spirits .....coach breakdown to delay the journey.....accident on the A34 slowing us down to a crawl....reaching the stadium with minutes to spare and no stewards around to guide us to the entrance.....or the performance if that can be the right answer....a total washout sorry and at the end of it all no apologies from the manager to the fans who had paid to travel etc.....inconsistency springs to mind. Oh and Fratton Park is not one of the newer grounds worth visiting
So, you chose to make the journey, and encountered numerous problems, none of which had anything to do with " the manager " ? And he was supposed to apologise for that ? Performances are inconsistent, and very unpredictable in The Championship, but a 4-0 loss has been on the cards for a while. And you expect an apology for that ? Nobody forced you to spend your time and money on travelling to Portsmouth. Don't blame somebody else for your bad choices. Not reasonable. Disappointing day all around, but it was only a game of football, after all.
That was my daughter’s first away game, as we live near Chichester. We were put in the family stand which was next to away end. All the 50 year old yobs came in there to shout at the Swansea fans. She got upset with them and wanted to go so I had to appease her by letting her have some chewing gum. My little princess all of 8 or so then shouted some choice words at the yobs. Luckily I could not make this game to see the performance this time.
That was the same stand I was in. Got pelted with a poxy Balti pie, luckily only a part hit me. As we were going out to the away stand a big fella came running down the stand, I clenched my fist thinking I’ll at least get the first one in. Luckily stewards were aware of what was happening and stepped in. The funny part we then walked out and a Pompey lad was going we beat ****ing Cardiff, I said I know I was supporting you that day, he wasn’t the brightest of spark.
