But that comes from the recruitment policy and in turn left both managers short handed.

Walter had what 11/16 signings in August?

    The summer recruitment was ****

But we should be where qpr are(nowhere near playoffs, but closer to mid table and safety)
    Not where we are now

Crap display from City the difference between last season and this is like night and day there is no getting away from it. First time even this season that I have seen us under the cosh. And I gotta say I was expecting more from Selles in terms of impact on our play and more importantly results. Yes we ground it out until it was nearly over but we never looked like having a chance at winning or scoring.

For the avoidance of doubt, I don't pick the team.

I think Sellés got a bit outcoached yesterday and that’s fine it will happen. Boro’s press had us boxed in and annoyingly we never really adjusted our build up play. Only booted it long and hoped much to the delight of those around me.

Would’ve liked to see us drop another midfielder to help the numbers in the initial stages or just something tweaked a bit. Granted though he’s working with a thread bare squad on its absolute arse at the moment

2 players with any quality are both out for the season. With those 2 fit, hell even 1 of them I think we’d be where QPR are

Agreed, I guess my expectations of the difference he could make were clouded by my visions of Ruben being the next Pep-our Pep. Hopefully he can be that and if he can keep us up with this lot he may well be.

Walter came July. He was recruited weeks before.

If he had no input into which players were signed then he was more inept than even I think he is.

He had a say in who stayed & who came. If you think otherwise you’re up there with Dim the tiger.

100% agree, you take the best 2 attacking players out of any team and that team is struggling, Salah and Diaz out for the season and lpool wouldn't be top, saka odegaard from arsenal, Palmer and an other from Chelsea etc etc or as we saw under McCann when turbo and Bowen left.....

First half was even enough, 2nd there was a stark contrast and when they brought their subs on that showed the real difference, their quality off the bench was so strong

I still think in the first half we struggled to control the game. Most of our good moments seem to come from breaks in play in the middle rather than anything we did in build up.

they were on top but we'd kept them v much at arms length I thought, certainly unlike the 2nd half when we looked v v lost

They created nothing though. We had a few decent moments where we could’ve punished them but everything seemed to fall to Burstow who was very poor

I think both are true. Both just cancelled each other out

I mean they had all the ball and couldn’t do much though, we won the ball high up and failed to do anything

Undoubtedly the experts are right and it's worse under Selles. That's why we're only averaging 1.2 pts per game under him after reaching the heights of 0.9 under Timbo.

Baz said Drameh was actually taken off because he was ill. Sky were probably just reaching for the simplest tactical explanation in lieu of any real information.

I think there's only a few people who think we're worse now although one of them is very opinionated about it
