That will be three windows in a row we haven’t bolstered our team. Agree with getting rid of the deadwood, but we should be at least adding some youngsters to the fringe first team.

 

I was watching some youtube scouting vids and this Swiss lad Alvyn Sanchez looks like he could be a shrewd Almiron replacement, he's only 21 and I'm sure Swiss legend Schar could put in a good word. The goal at 2:54 in this clip is very nice...

 

The thread title is right mind for the Newcastle board. Reading now that Villa have opened talks for Donyell Malen. Cant think of another club who need a right winger.

 

I don't think Newcastle have any issues at the moment, so the club will feel vindicated in it's decision to not spend money and never get out from under the thumb of PSR restrictions and potential points deductions.

This window might be an opportunity to sell off unwanted players to other clubs that are panicking.

 

Sorry mate you cannot convince me either Villa are panicking, that we still have PSR issues, that we cannot aim for Malen or that Malen isn’t an upgrade.

 

We don't want the player and I'm sure we have an alternative target.

... he would be a real coup.. he's going to be absolute elite quality.

 

I would be happy with Dibling and Khusanv this window if posible. 2 young talents to bolster CB & RW.

Look for a new Keeper in the summer while getting rid of 2 of Vlach, Dubs, Pope. Will also need that Striker backup.

 

I doubt Southampton would sell Dibling this month, but I can definitely understand why Newcastle would be after him and wait until summer. He's the best link imo... he's exactly what nufc will be looking for.

Loan system should be scrapped.

 

It helps us both in FFP. Two deals worth the same amount and the transfer of actual value is nil.

But for FFP we get pure profit and so do they.

 

Or alternatively we can offer more game time if he's good enough plus we are higher in the table. Wages won't be as good though

 

Most talented youngster we've produced since Bale imo and destined for the very top.

Still far from the finished article though. A summer deal with a season's loan back would be nice

I'd be shocked if we sold him this month unless we get a ridiculous offer.
