it was because they never had a sniff or wanted a sniff. we should of all sat in our half when we scored. it was a very hard watch but some credit to Blackburn even though there tactics were awful they never really give us a sniff at there goal They defended like men never shackled any 50/50 balls in which some of ours did.
I think it was a poor decision to play James in a game like this. Seems like he just has a rotation schedule, driven by the sports scientists. I love DJ but he’s the least able of our 4 wide men to break down a packed defence. He’s the best winger we have in transition but you don’t get any transitions against a side that has no ambition to get in your half. Having picked him he should then have taken him off and left Solomon on. Just my view. Disagree that Gnonto was poor. The only sub that looked like he might add something to my eyes.
Am I the only one who never got excited in that game? In a game I was so worked up about before hand. I was just frustrated from start to finish even our goal i hardly celebrated coz i was so pizzed off about how crap the game was in general.
Am still shaking my heed. Just been looking at how much space we had in our half most of that 2nd half some of our players could of been astronaughts. Yes Blackburn got a point but how can there fans be happy on the peformance overall especially when they challenging for a playoff spot for the Premier League. Just didnt want to play football just wanted to disrupt and slow the game and defend their goal. Ok it worked but dont you expect more for a team supposedly challenging something. Then to celebrate like they won a playoff game hmmm.
Sorry but I don’t get it. !!!!!! I don’t get it that we all know that teams that come to LS11 are going to defend, So why do we play with a back four?? A back 3 would suffice …..Ampadau …. Rodon …. Struijk Put four in MF and 3 up front. It’s not rocket science Mr Farke or s it? As for Harrison he can fek off big style
We’ve always looked and played crap with three at the back. What annoys me is our naivety (or honesty) for the goal, Wober trip the guy in his half, take the yellow, and defend the long punt upfield.
The game had 0-0 written all over it from the start. The late penalty seemed to have given us a win that didn't look like coming so it was disappointing to quickly concede. The 'routine' win away to Stoke is looking much better with the potters having beaten Sunderland and taken points off Burnley away since then. We can't be great every game and neither can anyone else.
10 points out of 12 over festive period is excellent. Can’t remember us ever getting better. Felt a bit like a loss but in fairness probably all we really deserved. A few fans needed a reality check maybe so dust ourselves off and go again
Been a poor Xmas For blunts. 4 points from 12. If that was us they’re would have been some calling for Farkes sacking
It was disappointing to concede like that after working so hard to get in front (so it feels like a defeat) but we have to accept that we’re not going to win every game we play. We’re top so in good shape so far.
