Gelukkig nieuwjaar, beste wensen from a windy and about to be wet Netherlands. It went off with a bang again the more the authorities try to ban the louder and more riotous it gets.
Lots of grumbling on my urbanisation’s facebook page this morning about inconsiderate people letting off fireworks from around 4pm yesterday, in an area frequented by feral cats. I tend to ignore the moans as we are in a country that is renowned for using fireworks at any celebration although it would be good if the midnight fireworks had all been set off at the same time, to celebrate the new year, and not set off at random times from 00.00 to 01.00.
