About who? Rooney? He’s gone. There is another rumour about Tinnion but I’m treating that one with a fistful of salt.
Argyle will be up for this one after Rooney's less than sad departure and I see Joe Edwards (ex-City player?) now has some clout in the organization. Our next three fixtures which include the FA Cup vs Wolves could go along way in deciding how the rest of our season will shape up because consistent form is the key to success. However a decent dose of reality needs to be taken before we can reap the benefits of being an under-rated contender by everyone else. Bring it on and I look forward to a decent win but only if the good ship Bristol City arrives with a fully committed crew on board. Is the rumour about Tinnion's departure anywhere near the truth? I truly believe he has been a thorn in our side by playing the conquering hero for far too long and if he was responsible for the somewhat lousy players arriving at Ashton Gate then it is time for his departure. We need top class people in senior positions before we can even attempt to crawl out of this mire that we have been bogged down in for many years. So many people have voiced their individual comments about BCFC on this site and perhaps some of our wishes may come true but only if the owner is prepared to eat humble pie and dump the hangers on like his son and Tinman.
I had us down for a draw ... changed to hefty win! plymouth have been suffering the similar things we have in the past "players out" now getting a couple of key players back in .................... this division is a nightmare this season 3 wins v 3 losses can see a lot of movement up or down!
You are spot on there and I think that the Championship is certainly the most difficult second tier sporting league in which to compete, yet alone get promoted to the big time. Happy New Year and keep the posts going well through the years to come. Up Bristol City.
Sadly Rooney left 2 days early, I’m sure Joe Edward’s can motivate Plymouth in a way Rooney was incapable of doing, so not expecting too much from today’s game. On the other hand if Rooney had left a few weeks ago he could have landed a plum job with the Gas.
Tanner in for Ross M as the only change from the Pompey game, which makes sense, 2 games this close together just after another injury is probably too much for him. To get anything at all from this game we need to be focused and mentally prepared beforehand Manning needs to get this absolutely spot on
Slightly disappointing that we couldn’t see this out for the win. We seem to struggle with defending set pieces in added on time.
I could see it coming. We gave them too much possession in our half. I didn’t think it was a foul though for their free kick that led to their second goal. It was a strong tackle but looked fair to me. I think we were a tad unlucky for that one. Having said that, the commentators were debating whether or not Mehmeti’s goal was offside. AM was initially offside, but the ball wasnt played through to him. He was ON side when he scored.
