Yeah I'm with you this. It's the one remaining interest in our season outside of Derby record watch and I'd like the opportunity to visit a new ground if we get through.
Are all February TV games decided? Wondering if the KO time for Chelsea away might change as I'm considering booking trains.
As in the trigger of the extra year or he's agreed to sign an actual longer term contract AKA earning more money until the summer when we will be able to sell him for a big fee?
Yeah, but if they couldn't get him to sign an actual new contract I could have seen the club trying to play off the trigger of the contract extension as something to celebrate. Good news if this is true, even if it doesn't mean anything more than we guarantee we are in the best position to get top dollar for him.
The latter I believe, a photo of a shirt with his name and 2030 is kinda showing. But again it's only a rumour.
I wouldnt get too excited; Isn't that just a fan page giveaway that's being teased? This one? Doubt they'd be ITK on what's being announced at a certain time. Happy to be proven wrong, mind!
An extension would be great if only to increase the money we get for him. Lavia seems a decent comparison given the similarities in terms of relegation and age. Lavia was a better player, but plays in probably a “cheaper” position. Lavia had 4 years left on his deal when we got £65m for him, Dibling will have 2 when we hit the summer. Logic says we would be looking at about £40m max for Dibling without an extension. Maybe get him to sign something with a £50m release clause that would keep all parties happy?
So nothing came of that Dibling rumour then. Don't have a good feeling about that one. Feel like if he was going to sign the contract he would have done by now. In other news, Noel Buck, the young American lad that plays for New England Revolution who we had on loan for the U21s, has apparently returned to them. I think it was essentially viewed as a trial as we had a buy clause in the loan contract.
Nice one. I'll book some trains for Chelsea then. Last one without bus replacements is 22:35 though so will probably have to leave early. Really undecided whether to buy for Ipswich tomorrow or not. It wasn't one I was planning on going to but I've really got into the habit so am tempted now. It's a right **** to get to mind.
Can't see them not going down tbh. Better seat possible this season though with the bigger allocation.
The block map on the Ipswich sale doesn't seem to correspond with images I can find online, can anyone make sense of it? I assume VU3 (which isn't on sale yet) is the extra block near halfway line but that doesn't show up on any block maps I can find.
Just received an email about Swansea tickets still being available. No ****ing ****. Just checked sales with just over a week to go and only the Itchen looks to have anything close to full capacity and that's with the Kingsland closed to home fans. I checked the blocks right behind both goals and there is probably only a quarter sold in each of those blocks. Going to be a pathetically low turnout and no more than the club deserves for the prices they set.
