I know the run in is months away, which is why you rotate now. As for a striker I’m fairly certain that no one will be any good to the club on what my budget can stretch to
You'd sign someone on a permanent in January? Its high risk. You'd need someone Premier League ready so we don't have to buy another striker if we go up. If we buy a solid Championship striker then they would need replacing if we go up. Getting a Premier League ready striker would be near impossible in January.
Where do we need to strengthen? Popular opinion is a striker and a No. 10 (neither would be cheap unless a gamble and no idea what is available) plus a keeper, but as everyone has pointed out the coaching team seems very happy with Mes. I honestly don’t see us signing anyone in January.
Found this from a ram fan, Leeds were by far the best we have seen this season so no disgrace in losing by a single goal. What I admired about them was their ability to attack in numbers, often supplemented from midfield or even defence, and yet nearly always be in a position to defend in numbers. These abilities obviously arose from having quality players who hardly ever gave the ball away. If they fail to make top spot or second come season's end it could only be down to multiple injuries. maybe we don't fully appreciate the quality we have?
Agree, don’t really think we’ll do anything regards permanent signings. Can’t see him disrupting the midfield or front players. He maybe forced into cover at the back. Thing is, the last few years we haven’t had a clue about incoming transfers, neither has the media. Let’s hope we have a number 10 and LB up our sleeve, that nobody knows about. Don’t see em signing a goalkeeper either - DF seems happy with Mes.
Rare to see an insightful derby fan . I think every independent observer thinks we’re automatic promotion material. It’s just not in the Leeds fan psyche to accept it. We’ve grown up on a diet of misery and disappointment.
You only have to look at the effect ampadus injury had on us as pointed out by Farke. Only takes one bad tackle from a clogger in the fa cup to disrupt proceedings. We’ve done well through the festive season with injury situatuin
Preston and Stoke recently have shown there's enough cloggers in this league to worry about getting injuries.
