To be fair he wasn’t really performing anywhere near the level he is now at Napoli. I think the problem for United is they’ve had so many poor centre mids who’ve just been nowhere near it. I can’t even remember the last one I’d say was actually someone worthy of playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world. Maybe Matic? But even then he was past his best. Apparently they had everything agreed to sign Kroos in 2014 before he went to Madrid and it fell through. If they had got him you could’ve put Ronald McDonald alongside him and he would’ve made him look good.
Kroos will eternally be one of my favourite players ever. So ****ing effortless and graceful. What a player. Retiring whilst still absolutely brilliant as well, what a guy.
That's why I've gone for the darts on the tele and Ipswich on the laptop. Usually love it when Man Utd get beat but, unfortunately, I think the scum will tank them tonight
Maguire, Casimeiro and Eriksen should be nowhere near a premier league starting lineup. Combined age of 95
I think that the Luton team that came down were one I would have backed to go straight back up. Performed admirably, kept the vast majority of their team together and play a ready-made brand of football for the level. And yet they’ve pancaked. Ultimately there’s no team that will be utterly nailed on to return - even if it looks good on paper. A ****e season and losing your one or two bits of quality could properly take the wind out of their sales. Even worse if they end up losing McKenna.
