The best we can hope for is 1 coming in to provide competition for Roberts. The only issue is what it's likely the kid from Chelsea who's going to need some time. For me we need a big physical striker who's going to constantly occupy the defenders and create space.
I think we'll see more from Isidor if we get a CDM and move Neil further forward. Wilson will thrive on someone willing to thread a balls down the side or through the middle of the centre halfs.
I think Vale will slot into the squad straight away if he signs. On the bench instead of Rusyn instantly improves our options imo.
When is Abdulahi fit and what type of striker is he? I know he is very inexperienced, but wonder if is more of the type to push defenders around.
I disagree if the offer is good and we use money in Jan then great but I wouldn't be rocking the apple cart and selling him if we don't utilise cash in Jan. I very much understand our journey and sell to buy, but cant be selling assets in Jan and not reinforcing, considering were chasing promotion.
We paid decent money for him, expect him to have something about him to be involved soon as hes fit, although expecting him to be raw due to age & experience
Not back in full training yet iirc, I remember a few clips knocking about from Gent reserves and he definitely looked a unit.
A bit of rotation wouldn’t do any harm but think we missed Rigg on Sunday. That said we were also missing Mundle, Watson and Roberts for a chunk of the game so would probably have missed him less if a couple of those had been available.
I’m hoping he’s a dynamic, explosive type of striker in the mold of Gabbiadini, Goodman or even Cisse types.
Likes to run in behind from the clips I watched, big strong lad - reminds me of Kewyne Jones He still needs to learn how to use his body to really bully CBs but seems to want to stretch the game and has good pace about him
100%, this lad is a younger raw version of him imo - if he can piece it all together we could have a cracking player on our hands I don't think we will see him much this season tho, I think he's more for next season
One of the very best on his day. He had some cracking games whilst here. I’m sure it was John Terry who named him as his toughest opponent…
Absolutely, never looked a great finisher with his feet, but had the strength to out muscle anyone....a prime example of attitude & dedication required as much as talent as the lad could have made so much more of his career
