He's really cynical and negative, combined with a underlying moroseness that sucks the joy out of life. Can't stand pundits like him. He reminds me of Mark Lawrenson, another one who managed to bring his cloud of depression over the beautiful game.
I used to groan when I'd see Lawrenson and Hanson on MOTD. Hanson not as bad, but not exactly a barrel of laughs. Between them both, they'd manage to turn the whole thing into a dirge.
Shearer the same another big headed boring twat. Ian Wright, is quality, there Has to be more like him, and as much as it grieves me to say it, Roy Keane is good entertainment.
Not having that ... 'Lawro's' predictions that we'd get beat, game after game, in 2015-16 are acknowledged by many Leicester fans as a huge contributor to us winning the title Sutton's just a mardy **** ...
Whilst I do agree I think it's only fair to point out that he got given absolute dogs abuse by the Everton fans, including people regularly shouting abuse in his face. He posted some of it on his Twitter account but others are from random people showing him getting abuse. All clubs have fans who take it out on players and all sets of fans have scapegoats, seems like for a section of Everton fans he was the one they were "allowed" to just throw abuse it. I find it hard to blame him for making negative remarks about them. I didn't like Steve Bruce at us and used to say I though he was pretty ****e when in conversations about him but if I'd ever actually met him I'd have been polite and appreciated that he was undoubtedly doing his best. Many Newcastle fans were less polite and I'd not blame him for being abusive back at us, indeed Fat Sam made a point of buying a villa with the proceeds of his pay off from us and called it "St James' Park" if i recall correctly - that's just good banter. Got to be able to take it if you dish it out.
Yeah I get that and agree with being able to give it back but I find the constant tweets about it more than a bit petty, he made his point ages ago and should move on now imo. Never knew that about Allardyce but that's brilliant and a better way of doing it.
I remember when Spurs fans made a big point about them getting the most points if you combined two seasons together. Completely meaningless.
