Selles left back play yesterday was superb too Jacob had a decent game, duberry is a tricky winger, and gameplan was to allow them play from wider areas and coyle and longman came on as subs and the balance was perfect I actually want to see coyle at lb again

Really good to see Longman being encouraged to go to the crowd by Coyle after the game too. The reaction from them to a player who I think it’s fair to say hasn’t always been loved in his time here was quite heartwarming and will do his confidence the world of good.
It's a tough call for Selles? Jones put in a real Captains performance yesterday and he added that vocal element that Coyle doesn't,personally I'd leave it with him and let Coyle deal with the opposition's wingers but if Selles does,does he run the risk of de-motivating Coyle?

Is it as simple as that? TW stopped with the defenders going up front a while before he was sacked, and that was actually when we became really bad. I think it was more that he lost the players and the squad lost all confidence.
Yeah, the style of play under Walter became significantly worse after the international break following the thumping at Norwich. Not only did we beat Stoke, Cardiff and QPR, I thought we played really well in all those games too. For whatever reason, the relationship between Walter and the players became so strained and there was no coming back from it.
Another under rated thing about jones Is hes almost always available Hughes has already missed more than half the season (Obviously not blaming him for appendictis)
We were **** to middling v Stoke & QPR, Only won both games because their finishing was poor & Pandur isn’t.
Maybe they do that because they have natural leaders, experience, winners ...all over the pitch? Whereas we don't.
Can't see the captaincy changing. Selles has mentioned numerous times that he wants the group to take responsibility in this aspect so the armband really shouldn't matter too much.
