Someone mentioned earlier how we don’t keep the ball well under Selles. I was going to post how it’s much better to be ballsy and how possession means nothing - as evidenced once again today. I think if you looked at all of our wins this year, I bet the majority you would find that there would be no significant effect of having the ball more than 50%. I’m going to have a quick look now.

In the meantime, when was the last time a centre back put in such a top, vital performance? Well played Alfie Jones. <applause>

If you go back one year today, we have won 14 league games. In 50% of those, we had more possession.

I love the new manager’s style. It’s brave, gritty and I already wish we’d have had him at the start of the season. We have a fighting chance of surviving now. UTT.

Not seen a performance like that since the days of McCann. Whatever you thought of him, it was football most of us recognised and grew up with (with a smattering of the same players out there today). Feels like we've come full circle in three years, but it's a necessary return in order to, hopefully, move forward.

What’s good is we kept attacking them after we scored and they struggled with us . Under Rosie and others we’d sit back and be pressed , inevitably giving a goal away . We move it quicker and we move it forwrd , Macca and Jones we’re doing this today and Jacob was giving their guys some stick he’s not frighteneded at all .

Even more interesting, in the 17 games we have lost, 14 of them we had more possession! Proving that having possession is actually more of a hindrance. <laugh>

I know earlier in this thread there was a lot of criticism that we appeared to be paying hoofball at times. I think this was deliberate. All opposition coaches will be working on the basis we only play out from the back and align themselves accordingly. They know we pass back and sideways and sometimes these passes go astray giving them an opening through our defensive. We should mix it up to make us less predictable

I think we do now , Pandur doesn’t play it out so much , we hit 50 yard balls and shorter ones , I think give Selles the players and he will do ok .

It is a cesspit (i love it).

Whilst X has a bigger reach, i guess that's all the club care about.

Yeah I realise why they’re there.

I just don’t use it anymore apart from checking team news so I selfishly want them to make my life easier! (and to stop effectively funding that obnoxious ****)
