Meh, I said this wasn't the best time for a new manager to come in. Too many games in a short period so it's hard to make changes or improve fitness (which I think is an issue). The West Ham game was a decent performance, today not so much, although not dreadful. Next weekend will be more interesting to me. Depending on what the club have decided to do in January I'd suggest we definitely need a new DM and a big, strong striker. We know Wellington is coming in at LB too. I actually wouldn't be shocked by a new physical CB either. I thought Mateta gave Bednarek all sorts of problems and I'm not sure whether either of the other two would have done much better at handling him.
****e after the goal really. Though their first definitely looked a foul but it had been coming anyway and they should have had more tbh. Thought Juric got his line up wrong. Bree shouldn't be starting at this level and the midfield was as tragic as it looked on paper. Lesley did well when he came on. Ref was dreadful, like appallingly bad and up there with the worst this season. Hughes must have committed about five fouls before he was booked (for a foul he wouldn't have been able to make). Disgraceful whoever lobbed something at the lino. Hope they find the **** and he gets banned. To top it off I got singled out by one of the pyro/drug dogs and had to go through a search that makes Heathrow look lax. Stewards then got upset when I told them the dog needed better training. UTFS

Welp. I tried! Stay positive, we'll still be better off under Ivan than Russell but there's only so much you can do with a dead horse! Besides, there's more important things than football. If we had any chance of staying up then sure, sign a DM. But we are going down. And Downes and Charles next season are very strong for the Championship. I don't see the point in signing a DM now tbh as the chances of signing someone who is happy to sign for a relegated team, but is also going to be good enough in the PL in a few seasons time seems highly unlikely. We should just use this January to try and clear some of the **** that we don't want as our squad is waaaaaaay too big. Hopefully will help to make the summer rebuild slightly easier.

Yeah, in the same way that Fernandes and Dibling are almost really good. Bar Rambo and KWP, they’re our best players though, and they’re all young and inconsistent.
Well he’s not the messiah. Nor is Tall Paul, or anyone else in this squad besides perhaps Tyler Dibling, who is way too young to carry that burden of expectation. The reason some players didn’t get much of a run out under Martin is unlikely to be because Martin is blind as well as stubborn
We need to give Jurić time to understand the squad. Hopefully he will learn quickly what we have all seen for ages. We are in a strange predicament though. We probably need to spend 50 odd mil in January just to avoid Derby’s record. I don’t understand why SR left it so late. They’re absolute morons. At this point, do we just write the season off? The reality is the squad isn’t good for PL level. The only way to make a promoted team good enough in one summer is to do what Forest did. The three promoted sides will go down this year, likely the three who come up will go down next year etc etc Ipswich and us both spent over £100m and look so far off even the **** PL teams which says it all
Which isn’t exactly saying a lot, and maybe you’re right. But anyone who thinks the key to this squad/answer to all our problems has been under our noses all along, is kidding themselves imo.
Yeah our squad is massive, and the goal in Jan should be to trim it. Unfortunately most of the players we would want rid of nobody will want/might be useful for a Championship campaign. I just think it will be a quiet month for us overall
