I'll take credit for this. I'm drinking different beer to usual.

If anyone wants to buy me more of the same, just in case I'm right, lemme know <cheers>:1980_boogie_down:

Superb win and clean sheet. The perfect away performance. Jones was imperious and his clearance off the line was superb plus other blocks. McLoughlin not far behind, and Jao Pedro kept running to the end. All the starters and the subs played their part. No-one was weak. Great move for the goal, especially Slater’s perfect pass and Longman’s perfect finish. So pleased for Ryan who always gives his all.

Massive win on a typically ****ty winters afternoon in Lancashire. Not a great first half but we didn't buckle and kept our shape. Better when the subs came on and we got stronger the more the game went on. Pleased for Ryan Longman too. We have our limitations and that is obvious but they all played for each other today, and that's all we can ask.
Well done every one of them and those who travelled. UTT.

Just watching the replay, its not a great angle but if Pedro is offside for the second, it must only be by a gnat's cockhair

It's the old addage, it isn't how much you have the ball, it's what you do with it when ya got it. He's got us relatively organised in a very short space of time, and unlike the previous incumbent, it looks like the players are all buying into his philosophies

I still don't think we're a good side - but the difference now is that out of the last six games we've picked up points in half of them (including 2 wins).

That sort of consistency in picking up points will go a long way to keep us up. We know we'll lose games - but if we can bounce back and get something quickly rather than go on losing runs it'll make a big difference.

We’d have lost this game under Walter.

    Well in lads.

With confidence we seemingly can be. Last 20 we had everything. Not sure Pedro was definitely offside. Alzate certainly makes us miles better

Yes. Fingers crossed we can use that to start building into a more consistent 90 minute team and I think we'll all be relieved.

    Great result, great second half.

Yep exactly, we can go on winning one and losing one and comfortably stay up. People lose all sense of proportion when we lose a game but it's an expected part of the journey when you're improving a team from as bad a place as we were in. We are now getting as many wins as defeats and keeping that up will see us absolutely fine. If we'd done that all season we'd be comfortably mid table and we'd now be talking about our chances of a playoff push.
