Jones Captain’s performance rock solid at the back
Puerta. Great engine, showed the skills needed & unlucky not to score
    Longman. That goal was precious

pleased for Seles needed that win. Couple of brave decisions went well. Onwards and upwards

Puerta deserved a goal, thickness of a gnat’s bollock stopped that from being 2 0

After such a battling display it seems churlish to pick three, but -

    Jones
    Puerto
    McLoughlin

Jones - everyone played well, but Corporal Jones was pretty much perfect.
McLoughlin - one of his best games for us. Good defending and started a lot of attacks
Jao Pedro - very impressed by this guy, three games in a week, not the youngest, but boy does he work for the cause.

All the starters and subs played well without exception. Longman’s goal was so well taken, ans Slater’s pass for it was super. Kamara did well in his strange, deceptively languid style, and Puerta was great. Well done all!

Jones (anything else is wildly wrong today!)
Pedro - taken time to get up to speed but has been a massive player since Walter knacked off, really suits our current style of play and has the best touch in the squad. Was outstanding for our goal and his lay off and header for the Puerta / Kamara ones were equally excellent, don't think he was defo offside either. Class.
Slater - rely good 90, played like he had a point to prove and he did, excellent pass for the goal.

Puerta was brilliant today too, a proper little **** house who never stops and Alzate made a real difference when he came on.

Mention in despatches for Pedro too who was a nuisance and ran himself into the ground. Longman and Coyle both made a difference as subs, and Burslow started well and Panda, although not a lot to do, did it without any fuss or hysterics.
To be fair everyone of them, Jacob too, played for the shirt and the manager. It will be a happy bus home for a change. Well done.

Gritty performance from the lads. Well done to all involved. Hard to pick 3 from numerous heroes but here goes.

Jones was a rock in defence and put in one hell of a shif.

Pedro never stopped running. Like someone said, I wish he was 23 not 32.

Puerta a constant threat and ran his heart out. Shame he hit the post.

Macca, Longman and Slater did more than enough to make the MOM top 3.Did Pandur make a save?

    Happy New Year everyone.
