Only lost by 1 dodgy goal. We're relegated. Martin made sure of that, but hopefully we can build something respectable for next season.
Dunno where we go from here. Just a soul destroying season. I do think there is an improvement under the new manager. But we are just so far off it. The squad is horrific really.
Apart from the first 15 minutes really poor today. I wonder if we don't have the fitness. Certainly missed the strength of Ugochukwu in the first half. Is Lallana only able to play five minutes?
Just further evidence today that the three promoted sides will all be going back down. That's a very healthy gap which Palace have opened up over the bottom three, and another decent result for Wolves.
Well, our next game is after a week's hard work on the training ground, AND after the transfer window opens. Maybe we'll get improvements, either with this squad, or with incoming players. But probably not
Well we're losing by one, rather than losing by five now, so that's something. We're also a lot more aggressive and in games now than we were - the trouble is, our players aren't terribly good. I'm not too depressed, it was always that way with this squad. I'm still just happy we got rid of Martin.
We're not going to get any joy from Saints this season. So Pompey losing 3-0 AND two of the three sides that were below them (one of which being Ruben Selles Hull) winning to move them back down to 23rd at least offers a small crumb of happiness.
I think he's *almost* really good. But he goes bundling into tackles in a way that looks really clumsy and as a result gives away free kicks just where we least need them. I can understand why a manager may not really trust him
This squad is miles off being premiership quality especially up front The difference up front between us and Palace was massive and they aren’t anywhere near a top premiership squad Defensively I thought we did pretty well against a very dangerous forward line, midfield was weak and up front….none existent
