We really struggle to maintain any sort of control so far under Selles and it constantly feels like things could go either way, Like you I'm hoping it's something that will come with more time. The Reading fans did say it wasn't great in the first season.
And your comparative doesn’t seem to be taking into account that Selles is having to play a near B team due to injuries.
I thought Slater did well there to get the ball out of his feet. On another note wasn’t that Cantwell a proper good larker at Norwich? How’s he ended up at Blackburn?
Maybe it’s because I’m used to possession-based football but I can’t stand constant long balls. We’ve not been good with the ball at all under Sellés. We can barely string more than two passes together. It’s all very scrappy and ugly.
He went to Rangers from Norwich, then to Blackburn...He's a decent player and goes looking for the ball all the time.
Blackburn like most don’t look anything special, we could win this…we just don’t really look like we’ve got a goal in us. As long as Blackburn don’t score we’ve got a slim chance
These are the games you pull your hair out and ask why is omur not living up to his billing He should be a good sub to bring on But hes ineffective
Lately, he seems to either panic or lose concentration at the vital moment. Obviously form and confidence shot to pieces and all that!
Slater and Puerta both been good. Kamara started bright but drifted out the game. Jacob has been crap. Drameh crap. Jones and Maka both been decent.
Decent response from Slater this, and an alright performance....bottom 3 team away to a play off team you'd prob expect them to be more comfortable. Only difference between teams is how much more threatening they look on the wings so far. Let's hope we keep it up and don't collapse after HT like we did Vs pne
So? We don’t have to resort to hoofball because Millar, Belloumi, Palmer and Hughes are injured. I’ve yet to see us control a game or pass the ball around well under Sellés. A scrappy draw against Watford, a scrappy win against Swansea and two fairly dismal defeats to Coventry and Preston. Not saying that’s his fault or even his style of choice and hopefully it improves but the football isn’t a great watch. The style seems very confused at the moment and there’s no composure on the ball. Jones and McLoughlin are punting it long to Pedro with little benefit.
We've done alright first half, not a lot between us,anyone's game(which is much better than I expected)..
